  1. There Has to be Better Out There I bought this for my garage workshop. From the picture and from reading the description, the product looks like you can easily take the bins off and put them back on at will. Well, that is not the case. The piece on the back that you slide onto the mounting board is very slim and it is a tight fit. It is an effort to put the bins on and take them off. If you tried to pull one of the bins full of nuts off the board, it is such a tight fit that I am fairly confident that you’d have to pull so hard that when it did come off, the bolts or nuts or whatever would go flying out of the bin. In addition, the back panel has holes for mounting screws that don’t line up with the standard stud spacing of 16″. So, since the directions say you have to screw this into something solid, you essentially have to mount it to plywood before you mount it on any wall so you can A) screw something into studs, and B) so it is sturdy enough to hold the weight of several full bins. Speaking of holding…

  2. Serves it’s purpose. This storage serves it’s purpose in a garage or storage shed. I would not use it in my house, e.i. Sewing room. When I had the backs mounted and I was in the process of putting the bins on rack, I discovered one large blue bin is cracked at the bottom. What do you do? Uninstall the whole thing or live without one bin? I guess I will just do without one large. That is why the rating is only a three.
